Pervis Estupinan wished his mum a happy birthday after his stunner at the Amex.
The returning left-back ran to the TV camera after firing his shot past Guglielmo Vicario.
He shouted: “I’m back!” in English as he marked his first Premier League action in three months.
Then, after taking the congratulations of his colleagues, he went back to the camera, made a heart shape with his hands and added: “Feliz cumpleanos, Mama!”
Estupinan joined the action for the second half as Albion beat Spurs 4-2.
Albion boss Roberto De Zerbi said: "It's an incredible goal but the most important thing about Estupinan is we recovered an important player because we are losing a lot of important players to injuries."
Estupinan's mum told Ecuadorean television: "He said today, thanks to God, we win!"
