Roberto De Zerbi has revealed he almost started with Facundo Buonanotte at Crystal Palace.
The Argentinean teen added some direction and tempo to Albion after going on with Danny Welbeck at half-time.
Many would have expected him to be in the XI but De Zerbi went with Pascal Gross in the No.10 role and had Carlos Baleba deeper in midfield.
The head coach said: “I had a doubt to start the game with him in the first XI.
“I decided to play with Pascal at No.10 and Baleba at No.6.
“You know the physicality of Palace and to reach more or less the same level of fight, of duel, of aerial play, I decided for Baleba.”
