Albion have suffered another potential injury setback.
Joel Veltman limped out of the 2-0 defeat at Arsenal with a knee problem.
The Dutch full-back appeared to suffer some pain after an awkward twisting duel with Gabriel Martinelli in the first half.
He initially resumed playing but was soon down again and eventually limped off.
Albion boss Roberto De Zerbi said : “I think it is an important problem because he feels pain in his knee.
“When there is a problem with the knee, it is difficult.”
Albion are already missing full-backs Perv is Estupinan and Tariq Lamptey and are having to improvise in that area of the pitch.
De Zerbi joked: “We are going to find a new solution – maybe Jason Steele can be the new full-back!”
The Seagulls boss was asked about Lamptey, Estupinan and centre-back Adam Webster ahead of the game and replied: “They need, I don’t know, but many weeks more.”
