Solly March has revealed his own reason for celebration – as he congratulates his Albion colleagues.
The Seagulls wideman has undergone a second operation on the knee he injured in the match at Manchester City earlier this season.
He posted a picture of himself, arms aloft in triumph and thumbs raised, and told his social media followers: “Operation number 2 done, as planned! On the road to coming back stronger than ever.
“Well done to the boys last night for getting to the knockout stages, incredible.”
His update comes hot on the heels of Albion's win at AEK in the Europa League.
Among those wishing him well were former team-mates Bobby Zamora, Glenn Murray, Steve Sidwell, Alireza Jahanbakhsh, Richie Towell and Marc Cucurella as well as boxer Harlem Eubank.
March is one of the longer-term absentees for Albion, who continue to make progress in both Premier and Europa Leagues.
He saw a bright start to the season abruptly ended when he twisted awkwardly at the Etihad.
