A TOTAL of three Brighton fans have been banned for five games after beer was thrown into the home section during Albion's Europa League match in Amsterdam.
The Albion faithful travelled in their thousands to Holland with 2,600 having tickets.
The three fans have been given a five game ban by Brighton after Ajax security said beer was thrown from the away fans into the home section of the Johan Cruyff Arena on November 9.
It is understood the Ajax security staff decided to take action and handed them to Sussex Police who took their details and they were allowed to go to their accommodation. The police took no action but the trio were deemed to have breached the conditions of the ticket sale and banned by the club.
Fans are allowed to drink alcohol inside stadiums in some parts of Europe and are being encouraged not to let that disrupt the experience for other supporters.
