Roberto De Zerbi has underlined what Albion’s win at Nottingham Forest meant.
The ten-man Seagulls secured a 3-2 success after losing Lewis Dunk to a red card and both Ansu Fati and Tariq Lamptey to injuries.
De Zerbi, his staff and players ran to the away end as the final whistle was blown in 12 minutes of added time.
The head coach said: “We celebrated like a final of the Champions League.
“The way we won the game with ten players, without the captain “Pascal Gross at right-back and he’s not a right-back.
“Jack Hinshelwood at left-back and he’s not a left back.
“Jakub Moder played 20 minutes plus extra time - and I thought it was 25 minutes extra time! It was too long!
“That’s why we celebrated in this way.”
