Albion are firmly on course for Conti Cup qualification after enjoying their first home win of the season.

Goals from Guro Bergsvand, Vicky Losada and Vea Sarri completed a comfortable 3-1 success over West Ham at Crawley.

The Seagulls now have six points from their two games, putting them three clear of the Hammers and Birmingham City with one round of fixtures to go.

They visit Charlton in the final group fixture in January.

Losada and Sarri both converted penalties against Megan Walsh, who saved three spot kicks out of three in a shoot-out – playing for Albion – when these teams met in the same competition last season.

Bergsvand followed her recent goal against Manchester United by scoring the opener late in the first half after a Maisie Symonds set-piece.

Albion, who made seven changes to their XI, now prepare to visit Liverpool at Prenton Park on Sunday before another international break.

Symonds, Poppy Pattinson and Katie Robinson will then all link up with the England under-23s squad as they face France and Spain.
