Bart Verbruggen hoped Albion would enjoy the moment as they beat Ajax.
But minds will have been very much on the Sheffield United game over this weekend.
Head coach Roberto De Zerbi has spelled out the importance of moving on quickly from Amsterdam before meeting the battling Blades.
Verbruggen was in goal in the 2-0 success at the Johan Cruyff Arena.
Before heading for the airport and a quick return to England, he told The Argus: “Of course you enjoy tonight.
“I think you have also got to enjoy the wins, that’s what you do with football.
“Enjoy tonight, recover tomorrow (Friday), analyse tomorrow (Friday), then I think after 24 hours heads are on Sheffield only.”
Verbruggen has played the last two games but that is no guarantee he will get the nod to face Blades.
In defence, Pascal Gross could fill in at full-back or De Zerbi could opt for back three of Adam Webster, Jan Paul van Hecke and Igor.
