Albion will meet up with the man who refereed their most recent Premier League win on Sunday.
John Brooks has been appointed to the middle as they face Sheffield United.
Brooks was also in charge on a post-Europa Sunday when the Seagulls beat Bournemouth 3-1.
His video assistant – equally importantly – against Blades will be Chris Kavanagh.
Brooks has shown three red cards and 64 yellows in his 14 club and national team games across various competitions this term.
The reds included the dismissal of Virgil van Dijk in Liverpool’s dramatic 2-1 win at Newcastle.
He is perhaps most vividly recalled by Albion fans as the VAR who incorrectly ruled out Pervis Estupinan’s goal at Crystal Palace last season.
The most high profile appointment of the Prem weekend appears to be Anthony Taylor to Chelsea v Manchester City.
Michael Oliver, who was in the spotlight as VAR for Albion’s draw with Everton, will referee Arsenal v Burnley this weekend.
He will then be at Stockley Park for Aston Villa v Fulham.
The full officiating team for Albion v Sheffield United is as follows.
Referee: John Brooks. Assistants: Simon Bennett, Lee Betts. Fourth official: Andy Madley. VAR: Chris Kavanagh. Assistant VAR: Marc Perry.
