Bart Verbruggen says he is improving all the time – after an Albion recall at Everton.
The Holland goalkeeper was unfortunate to be beaten by a deflected shot after making a good initial save.
He was generally rock solid – and not greatly tested – as the Seagulls secured a 1-1 draw via Ashley Young’s own goal.
Verbruggen has been tipped as potentially one of the best goalkeepers in Europe by head coach Roberto De Zerbi, despite a lack of minutes.
The keeper said: “It’s a process, I know I have enough to improve still.
“I feel like I improve every single day that I am here.
“It’s been a fun ride so far and I am looking forward to the future.
“When you come into this league, it’s the best league in the world. Everything goes a bit quicker, everything goes a bit stronger.
“I think everyone who comes into this league needs to improve in every aspect of their game.
“I think I’ve done that over the four months that I have been here now and I will keep trying to do this.”
Verbruggen and his defence stood firm during a brief late flurry of Everton pressure but he generally had a long-range view of the action.
He said: “You just keep trying to tell yourself that your team is going to need you for one or two big moments.
“That’s what I kept telling myself for the whole game, so that I would be ready when the moment comes.
“Trying to help the team as much as I can.”
