West Sussex-based referee Tim Robinson will take charge of Albion’s game at Everton.
His video assistant will be leading Premier League referee Michael Oliver.
Robinson comes from Middleton-on-Sea, near Bognor, and was formerly a PE teacher at the Weald School in Billingshurst.
He refereed Arsenal’s 5-0 win over Sheffield United at the weekend.
Robinson had the whistle when the Seagulls won 3-0 at Forest Green in the Carabao Cup last season.
He also took charge of two games in their Championship promotion season – a 2-0 win at home to Barnsley and the 2-0 defeat at Norwich.
