Albion were held 1-1 by Fulham and, as ever, there were a few talking points.

Four long-time fans gave their thoughts on the match and were then answered a selection question with an eye on the Everton game.

What were your thoughts on Albion’s performance against Fulham?

Tim Ayling: We were excellent in the first half, but faded and some of the players looked tired. I felt sorry for Gross, who really needed a break but seems to be too important for that. I can't complain with the effort, but the decision-making suffered and ultimately cost us the equalising goal.

James Heasman: I thought Brighton were clearly the better side, but the substitutions Silva made seemed to change the game's direction. Although we regained control, they had scored by that time, and Fulham's anti-football tactics coupled with a totally inept referee ensured we only drew.

Alan Brownings: Dominated the game until it rained the hardest, we switched off and Fulham nearly scored, we didn’t change it and they scored. Then we changed it. A pretty frustrating afternoon.

Colin Beales: The word that came up commonly in post-match conversations was frustrating. Frustrating that we started well, had loads of the ball got ourselves ahead, but frustrating that we didn't make more chances to get the vital second goal. Frustrating that Fulham with very few chances bagged another goal. Frustrating that Fulham continually broke the flow of the game by going to ground and frustrating that the refereeing from last year’s VAR at Spurs was to the same levels of ineptness that he showed last season.

2. Who stood out for you from the Albion team?

Tim Ayling: Dahoud was probably my man of the match and he shouldn't have been taken off. Igor did well again, and Baleba was excellent in the first half. I thought Gilmour and Fati looked sharp when they came on.

James Heasman: We were fantastic in the first half and I though a number of players stood out. Adam Webster and Lewis Dunk were excellent throughout as was Lallana during the time he was on the pitch. My man of the match however, was Mahmoud Dahoud, great touch, comfortable on the ball and hopefully getting used to the system.

Alan Brownings: Lewis Dunk with a fairly solid display, nearly got the second with his free-kick hitting the bar. Fine margins.

Colin Beales: Not sure we had any awesome performances, but I'd probably go with Mahmoud Dahoud who I thought had a decent game in the middle of the park I was disappointed when he came off.

3. Should Everton be the scene of Ansu Fati’s first Premier League start?

Tim Ayling: I imagine RDZ will want him fresh for the Ajax game, so probably not. We have options in that role, especially if we can keep Lallana fit.

James Heasman: Probably not, given we have a European game the following week. We will need to use him in the run up to Christmas though, so hopefully he'll get a run soon.

Alan Brownings: If he’s fit and ready for that, then yes, I think we’ve seen some promising glimpses, and cool finishing of late.

Colin Beales: Not necessarily. For me Fati still hasn't really lived up to the hype. I wont say I'll be disappointed if he starts as the jury for me is still out, but I'm not yet sold that he's the player we need to start to take us up a level but then again maybe he's the sort of player that just needs more minutes and things will flow.
