Roberto De Zerbi said Albion’s first European win was a special night for the club.

Now he wants to start picking up more points in the Premier League.

The Seagulls saw off Ajax 2-0 in the Europa League.

Thy move on to four points in Group B.

Head coach De Zerbi said: “The focus today has been the first win in European competition for Brighton, for our fans, for our club, for our owner, for ourselves.

“I think we didn’t deserve to lose against AEK Athens.

“Today we wanted 150% the victory.

“I think we played a great game with high quality.

“We could score more goals but the most important thing is we didn’t concede a goal and we closed the game with a clean sheet.”

Albion had gone five games without a win across all competitions.

De Zerbi said: “For us, in this moment it is important to change the mood, to restart to win, to restart the game, to restart to play better.

“We weren’t playing like last season of the first part of this season.

“We move on thinking of Fulham, preparing our best for the next game.

“We want to win again in the Premier League because we want to keep the high position in the table.”
