The Japan winger missed international action with his national team over the past fortnight.

But he was pictured enjoying training at Lancing ahead of the away game with the champions.

Lewis Dunk and James Milner also featured in a gallery of training pictures on the club website, as did Igor Julio, who limped out of the Liverpool game just before the international break.

Head coach Roberto De Zerbi is expected to give squad updates as he speaks to the media on Friday lunchtime.
