Albion fans will hope to see Lewis Dunk earn a third England cap tonight.
The Seagulls skipper appears to be in the running to face Australia in a friendly at a sold-out Wembley.
Dunk shone in the national team’s most recent fixture, the 3-1 win over Scotland at Hampden Park.
That game ended a run of 16 successive competitive matches for England.
England boss Gareth Southgate suggested at his press conference last night he would take a good look at his squad again and share minutes around in tonight’s game and the Euro 2024 qualifier versus Italy on Tuesday.
He said: “We have good players and we need to give people opportunities to show what they can do.
“That is part of our bond as a team, making sure people get chances to play and feel part of the group and important within that, so we have to get that right balance.
“Most importantly, we have got good players and we need to have them in positions on the field where they can do their best work and feel comfortable, positions they play with their clubs, so that the transfer is as smooth as possible.”
While giving little away, Southgate appeared to indicate John Stones will not play in the friendly.
He added he sees Levi Colwill as a good option for both left-back and centre-back berths.
Black armbands will be worn and a period of silence observed before the friendly to remember the innocent victims of the conflict in Israel and Palestine.
The FA has confirmed its plans to pay tribute, having come under pressure to illuminate the Wembley arch in the colours of the Israeli flag following attacks by Hamas militants over the weekend which were followed by Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip.
Flags, replica kits and other representations of nationality not linked to England or Australia will not be permitted inside Wembley.
Meanwhile Billy Gilmour was a surprise omission from the Scotland XI which kicked off against Spain in Seville last night.
