Aston Villa boss Unai Emery is eyeing Albion’s visit after making five changes in the Carabao Cup.
Villa went down 2-1 at home to Everton, a result which flattered the lack-lustre home side as they scored late on.
Emery brought in goalkeeper Robin Olsen, Leander Dendoncker, Youri Tielemans, Leon Bailey and Jhon Duran, while Emi Martinez, Lucas Digne, Boubacar Kamara, Nicolo Zaniolo and Ollie Watkins dropped to the substitutes’ bench.
Watkins, Kamara and Digne were all sent on at half-time with Villa a goal down and looking second best.
Emery said: “It’s not (about being) tired. I don’t want to use all our effort with the players each match.
“We are trying to keep a balance with some different players but trying to be competitive.
“We’re disappointed with the start and mistakes we made but we are trying to go forward and building the team.
“We made the second mistake quickly (in the second half) and it was difficult to come back.
“We have to move on quickly, try to recover the players for Saturday because we need the best performance.”
