Pascal Gross and James Milner are facing injury lay-offs.
Both midfielders missed the win over Bournemouth due to muscular issues.
Roberto De Zerbi does not expect to see them back before the next international break.
That means they would miss league games versus Aston Villa and Liverpool as well as trips to Chelsea and Marseille.
De Zerbi said: “I would like to play with the complete squad but it can happen.
“Also other teams have big injuries and we have to adapt.
“Solly March did not play at Old Trafford because of a small muscular problem.
“He played Thursday, 90 minutes, and we have to consider the emotion.
“We are playing a new season in our history.
“Europa League can take mental energy and I have to manage in a different way.
“We prepared this game this morning, 30 minutes.”
Albion now plan for Wednesday’s Carabao Cup tie at Chelsea, who lost 1-0 at home to Aston Villa yesterday
