Albion have been told to enjoy expectation - as focus returns to the Premier League.

Roberto De Zerbi’s squad are preparing to face a winless Bournemouth side tomorrow (2pm) and assessing the damage from a big European night which ended in defeat.

James Milner and Pascal Gross both picked up injuries in the 3-2 defeat by AEK Athens and are being assessed along with Lewis Dunk, who missed out altogether on Thursday.

Evan Ferguson withdrew from the game due to illness and De Zerbi said: “There is a chance he can play (on Sunday).”

Albion were widely expected to beat AEK and the same will be the same this weekend, even though De Zerbi says the Cherries have improved this season.

He said: “For me, to lose the (AEK) game is not a problem.

“You have to be honest. If you want to say Brighton are favourites, nothing changes for me.

“I told you before we have to adapt to expectation from the people.

“Last season we beat Chelsea 4-1 and Liverpool last season and now we have to adapt to this expectation.

“Without problems, without pressure. We have to be proud for this prediction.”

Gross and Dunk have been mainstays of the Albion side while changes have been made around them.

De Zerbi said: “Pascal Gross has a muscular problem, we have to analyse the situation.

“We will take the best decision.

"Sincerely I don’t know if it’s bad.

“Lewis, we can’t take risks, especially in this part of the season.”
