Roberto De Zerbi praised Albion’s squad depth after another impressive result.

The Seagulls were 3-1 winners at Manchester United after making six changes to their XI.

It was their second successive victory at Old Trafford, a venue where hey had never previously won.

Albion boss De Zerbi said: “I think we play a great game, especially in the second half after the first 15 minutes in the first half, when we suffer a lot with the pressure, the different tactical disposition of Manchester United - because we expected a different disposition.

"But after that we played a great game.

“We are a great squad. We can change two players for every position and without (Pervis) Estupinan and Solly (March) nothing changed.

"It changed in terms of the characteristic of the players, yes, but the quality of the players, no."

De Zerbi felt Albion could ultimately have won by a larger margin.

He said: "In the second half we kept the ball in a very good way but sometimes we could have attacked with more energy

"But we didn't want to concede counter-attacks, that was the focus.

"We could score more goals, especially in the last 25 minutes with Ansu Fati one chance, one-to-one with Onana, another two, three potential chances with Adingra and Mitoma.

"I didn't undertand the dynamic of the goal we conceded but the result, I think, is true."
