Evan Ferguson will miss the Republic of Ireland’s two forthcoming fixtures.
The striker has withdrawn with an injury.
In a brief update, the Republic said Ferguson was assessed by their medical team due to an injury sustained in the 3-1 win over Newcastle.
He appeared to hurt his knee in a tangle with Kieran Trippier during the Toon match.
Ferguson will miss Euro 2024 qualifiers against France and the Netherlands.
Albion's next match is at Manchester United a week on Saturday.
Roberto De Zerbi will give an update on Ferguson and Danny Welbeck, who missed the Newcastle game, shortly before heading to Old Trafford if news has not emerged before then.
