Albion are among the favourites to win this year’s Europa League, according to bookmakers.
Paddy Power gives the Seagulls a 10/1 chance of taking home the trophy at the tournament’s final in May next year in Dublin.
Only Liverpool and German side Bayer Leverkusen are considered more likely to win by the bookmaker, with odds of 10/3 and 9/1 respectively.
A spokesman for the Irish gambling firm said: “Roberto De Zerbi has been nothing short of a revelation since arriving on the south coast, guiding Brighton into the Europa League for the first time ever.
“With Evan Ferguson leading the line, we’re backing our Irish star and his teammates, pricing them as third favourites at 10/1.
“Whilst they have a pretty good chance of winning the competition, retaining it could be tricky as we’re fully expecting the Seagulls to sell the trophy to Chelsea for £150 million next summer.”
Albion will face off against Ajax, Marseille and AEK Athens in Group B of the tournament, with the Seagulls’ first match taking place at the Amex Stadium on September 21.
According to Paddy Power, Brighton are the favourites in the upcoming clash against Athens, with odds of 3/10.
