Pascal Gross believes hat-trick man Evan Ferguson is coming for his record.
Ferguson’s treble secured a 3-1 win over Newcastle and took him to ten Premier League goals in 24 games, of which 12 have been starts.
Gross, who recently became the Seagulls’ leading Prem marksman with 27, expects there will be a lot more to come from the Irish teen.
Asked what are the chances of Ferguson overhauling him, Gross said: "Big chances! He is a goalscorer.
“The way he scored here we see every day in training. He is a natural goalscorer. Unbelievable finishes.
“He has a lot, he can finish with left or right and he is strong, quick and his hold up play was all very good.
“He is really young, improving every day here with the gaffer and it helps him a lot.”
Head coach Roberto De Zerbi revealed Ferguson’s style reminded him of Italy legend Christian Vieri.
De Zerbi said: "He's similar to ‘Bobo' Vieri , but ‘Bobo’ Vieri was left-footed and Evan is right-footed.
"Their characteristics are very similar.”
But Gross said: “He is his own player. That is good and we just have to keep going and working hard.”
