Albion have signed under-21 forward Louis Flower from Chelsea on undisclosed terms.
Initially the 18-year-old will join the men’s under-21 squad under head coach Shannon Ruth.
He said: “We’re delighted to bring Louis to the club. He’s a talented individual who can play as a central striker or in wide areas which gives us good competition in important areas.
“We’re looking forward to working with him and seeing him develop his undoubted potential with us.”
Louis was with Chelsea’s academy from the age of 13 and played regularly in Premier League 2 and the UEFA Youth League last season, scoring seven goals.
He originally came from Cambridge United as a youth player.
Flower has scored 11 goals and provided six assists in 34 appearances in the U18 Premier League for Chelsea.
A Chelsea FC spokesman said: "He featured regularly for the under-18s over the previous two seasons while also stepping up to play for the under-21s.
"We wish Louis well as he begins the next chapter in his career."
