Andrew Moran has been told his next step is to shine in the Championship.
The Albion midfielder or attacking player has joined Blackburn Rovers on loan for the rest of the season.
He put pen to paper in time to be available for tomorrow’s league game at Watford.
Moran follows in the footsteps of Jan Paul van Hecke and Reda Khadra, both of whom had productive loan stints at Ewood Park.
Rovers revealed they have worked hard throughout the summer to pull off the deal.
Moran scored twice for Albion under-21s against a senior Walsall line-up in the Papa John’s Trophy in midweek.
But he was a notable absentee when Shannon Ruth’s side won 4-0 at Everton in Premier League 2 last night.
Albion technical director David Weir said: “The next step for him though is to get regular minutes in senior football and we’re confident he’s ready to test himself in the Championship.”
Moran, who turns 20 in October, is from the Dublin suburbs and is under contract with the Seagulls until June, 2027.
