Anthony Taylor will referee another early-season meeting between Albion and West Ham.

The Greater Manchester official will have the whistle at the Amex on Saturday.

He was in charge when the same clubs met at the London Stadium in the third fixture last season.

Albion won 2-0 that day, sent on their way by an Alexis Mac Allister penalty.

Taylor also reffed the 1-1 draw between Seagulls and Hammers at the Amex in August 2019, which was Graham Potter's first home game in charge and the first Premier League match at the stadium with VAR in use.

His last Albion fixture was when they lost 4-2 at home to Arsenal on New Year’s Eve last season.

He was in charge of Aston Villa’s 4-0 win over Everton on Sunday having opened the season with Chelsea’s 1-1 draw at home to Liverpool.

He has also reffed at Bulgarian champions Ludogorets in the Europa League recently.

Taylor’s fixtures last term included the Europa League final between Sevilla and Roma.

The full team for Albion v West Ham is as follows.

Referee: Anthony Taylor. Assistants: Gary Beswick, Adam Nunn. Fourth official: Sam Allison. VAR: David Coote. Assistant VAR: Adrian Holmes.
