Odel Offiah is heading on loan to Hearts – after signing a new deal with Albion.

The defender’s contractual commitment to the Seagulls now runs until June 2025.

Hearts made it clear this week they were keen on the defender on loan for the campaign.

They are off to a solid start in the Scottish Premiership with four points from two games and progressed to the Europa League play-off round by beating Rosenberg last night.

Offiah, 20, was around the Albion first team squad last season and made his Premier League debut at Nottingham Forest.

But he was not among the 33-man squad who travelled for the Summer Series.
