Albion are off to a winning start in the Premier League.

But it felt like there is more to come after the 4-1 success over Luton Town.

The collective shape had something of a different look but here is how the Seagulls fared in terms of individual performances.

Jason Steele 7/10

Made a couple of sharp saves, notably with his feet from a Morris header just after Albion went ahead.

James Milner 8/10

Luton looked to counter at pace out wide but he was solid at right-back, one of several positions he will fill this season. So assured on the ball.

Jan Paul van Hecke 7/10

Made some telling blocks and clearances and was alert to Luton counter raids.

Lewis Dunk 7/10

Some of Luton’s movement caused him problems in the second half and he was covering back when he conceded the contentious penalty. But set the tone in passing from deep and curled a superb ball in the move for the fourth goal.

Pervis Estupinan 9/10

A storming display down the left, despite an unfortunate early yellow card. The run and low pass for the final goal rounded it off and he was also involved when Adingra scored. The only negative of a hugely enjoyable display was how he lost Morris when Steele at a corner made his most demanding save.

Pascal Gross 8/10

Should have his first assist of the season after teeing up Joao Pedro and was close to his first goal when he drilled a clever effort against the near post. A high quality performance as he kept Albion ticking.

Mahmoud Dahoud 8/10

Has an impressive variety of passes and it is a delight to watch. Lost possession a couple of times to allow Luton counter opportunities and Albion’s football had a different look in midfield to last season but this was an impressive Prem debut.

Solly March 7/10

Can be more dangerous than this out wide but popped up in a great area for the header which set the ball rolling.

Joao Pedro 8/10

Shrugged off an early miss and the barracking of Luton fans to be a constant menace, dropping into deeper areas which the visitors found hard to patrol and making things happen.

Kaoru Mitoma 8/10

A constant threat down the left and was involved in some very dangerous moments, including the move for the penalty. Beats players so easily and his cross for the opening goal was pinpoint.

Danny Welbeck 7/10

Hit the post with a shot he did not really get hold of and was denied by a save when he opted to shoot, not pass. Good movement and pressing.

SUBS

Billy Gilmour – A busy presence in midfield who enjoyed getting on the ball.

Simon Adingra – Thrashed home his goal in emphatic style and looks a useful asset.

Evan Ferguson – No one was going to stop him claiming that late tap-in after he had been very unlucky to see a curler hit the inside of the post.

Joel Veltman – Took over at right-back for the closing stages.

Julio Enciso – No time and no need for any special moments.
