Moises Caicedo is heading to Merseyside to complete a move to Liverpool.

Albion agreed a fee for their Ecuador star in the early hours of the morning.

They will receive a guaranteed £111 million, which is a British record.

They have also secured a significant sell-on clause.

It is understood Liverpool ultimately out-bid Chelsea by some distance.

The transfer remains subject to medical, personal terms and final contract details.

It is unclear whether Caicedo will be available for the Reds’ opening fixture versus Chelsea on Sunday.

Caicedo has attracted a fee which, globally, ranks only behind those paid by Paris St Germain for Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

Chelsea had seen three offers for the player rejected and were ultimately out-bid and out-thought by Liverpool.

There was also very late but serious interest from Bayern Munich.
