Albion are ready for the new Premier League campaign.

And Europe is not far away.

Our team of long-time fans are back in action as they look to the coming campaign.

We asked for their thoughts on pre-season, summer signings and the months which lie ahead.

What did you make of the final friendly versus Rayo Vallecano?

James Heasman: I was actually quite disappointed and after the US trip (where I thought we looked good), I thought we’d be further along than we actually appeared to be. Some of the players seemed to be struggling with touch, but hopefully this week will make a difference. What was reassuring was the return of Lewis Dunk, who seemed to hit form immediately. Gross, Mitoma and Estupinan particularly, maintained their high standards from last year.

Alan Brownings: A pretty dull affair in which the Albion looked the stronger team, Welbeck being denied by the woodwork twice probably the overriding factor.

Tim Ayling: I only caught parts of the second half on YouTube, but from what I saw Adingra looked good and I think JPVH is getting better and better.

Do you like the look of the new signings?

James Heasman: Joao Pedro looks an exceptional signing, Milner also looked very good. Dahoud, who was great in the US, seemed to struggle a little, as did Igor Julio who probably needs games. Adingra has great potential, and Bart Verbruggen looked assured in the little he had to do.

Alan Brownings: Yes I do. Adingra and Igor particularly stood out, Milner will be very reliable and Dahoud has experience too.

Tim Ayling: Time will tell, but Pedro already looks inspired and Dahoud looks very tidy. We all know what Milner will bring, but I'm equally as excited to see what some of the youngsters will do after their experience of last season. If they push on we'll have a great season.

How will Albion cope with the twin demands of league and Europe this season?

James Heasman: We have seen other teams struggle with these demands in recent times (e.g Burnley and West Ham). Whilst I do feel we probably have greater strength in depth than either of those teams, the travelling and multiple games could have an impact. We were so impressive last season, and I have a feeling we’ll be more of a cup team this time around and finish in the top ten in the league. That said with Roberto de Zerbi at the helm, backed by Tony Bloom and Paul Barber’s oversight, why not reach for the stars?

Alan Brownings: I’m worried a little about squad depth, we saw in the States against Newcastle that when the kids came on they didn’t cope particularly well. We’ll be reliant on keeping everyone fit.

Tim Ayling: We're doing the right thing by adding depth to the squad. I would be surprised if we finish as high in the Premier League, but we'll still have a great season.
