Pervis Estupinan is aiming to improve on his storming first Premier League season.
And he would be happy if he does that alongside newly-crowned player of the year Moises Caicedo in an Albion shirt.
The Ecuador left-back is enjoying his first pre-season with the Seagulls, having spent this time last year with Villareal pending a move.
He is picking up the pace again after a belated start to training due to international action during the early part of the summer.
Albion fans will look forward to him showing his skills and athleticism down the left when Rayo Vallecano visit the Amex on Sunday following the three-game Summer Series.
Estupinan said: “We came home (from the USA trip) with a good feeling.
“Physically we did well and we will carry on working.
“My personal goals for the season? I’ll try to have a better season than last year and to keep growing.”
Estupinan has been quizzed about the future of Caicedo, who has been subject of interest from Chelsea.
The chances of the midfielder remaining an Albion player appear to be growing – although there is still a month of the transfer window to go.
Asked whether Caicedo will indeed stay with the Seagulls this summer, Estupinan said: “I think that is a question for Moi.
“If he stays with us, we will be happy and, if not, we will wish him all the best.”
