Julia Zigiotti has been named Albion women’s players’ player of the year – and there was an award double for Katie Robinson.
Zigiotti’s blend of tenacity and technique in central midfield was recognised as the WSL squad cast their votes at the end of last season.
The 25-year-old Sweden international emerged as a driving force as Albion battled to secure their top-fight status.
Robinson, who is currently with England at the World Cup, was named young player of the season.
She also won goal of the season for her strike in the crucial 3-2 win at home to Everton.
The right winger popped up in a central area and was picked out by Megan Connolly’s pinpoint chipped pass.
Robinson kept her eye on the ball as she was about to be flattened by on-rushing goalkeeper Courtney Brosnan and carefully lobbed the ball into the net.
