Denis Undav could be on his way out of the club with head coach De Zerbi stating he has “enough” options in attack this season.
Reports emerged last night that the German striker could be heading out on loan for the season to Stuttgart with an option to buy.
The 25-year-old was not included in the line up for last night’s defeat against Newcastle.
After the match, De Zerbi said: “Danny is in fantastic physical condition. In striker position, I have three players more than Undav. We will see in the future for Undav in these days about the transfer maket.
“Joao Pedro, Welbeck and Ferguson are enough.”
Undav scored from the bench in Albion’s first Premier League Summer Series match in the 4-3 defeat to Chelsea on Sunday, July 23.
He came on as a substitute in the 2-0 win against Brentford.
Undav struggled to adapt in the first half of the season but finished in brilliant form as Albion sealed Europa League football.
He scored five goals in his last eight matches in the Premier League.
Undav also contributed with goals against Middlesbrough and Grimsby Town in the FA Cup as Albion reached the semi-final.
Denis Undav previously said he was not a “quitter” and said he wanted to finish the season with the team.
Teams were interested in signing him on loan in January after a difficult start in English football.
Undav came to Brighton after a prolific season with Belgian side Union Saint Gilloise where he scored 26 goals and provided 12 assists in 39 matches.
