Former Albion youngster Lorent Tolaj has signed a one-year deal at Aldershot.

The powerful Swiss striker was released by the Seagulls recently.

He has secured an opportunity in the National League and went on as sub in their opening friendly at Eastbourne Borough.

Tolaj came up against a familiar face given former Albion youth team boss Mark Beard has taken charge at Borough.

Beard used 22 players including several trialists, one of whom scored as the hosts won 1-0.

A crowd of 1,165 turned out to see the first instalment of life for Borough under new management.
