Albion have four players in this year’s Golden Boy ranking – whichever way you look at it.

Only one club have more representatives in the top 100 listed as candidates for the award organised by Italian sports daily Tuttosport.

The four Albion men from last season who have been nominated are Facundo Buonanotte, Julio Enciso, Evan Ferguson and Levi Colwill.

Colwill was a Chelsea player on loan to the Seagulls.

But that is counter-balanced by the fact Albion’s Kacper Kozlowski, who spent last season on loan at Vitesse Arnhem, is also cited.

Red Bull Salzburg have the most players on the list with five.

Copenhagen and Albion each have four.

The Golden Boy rankings recognise the best under-21s playing with clubs in Europe.
