Facundo Buonanotte has joined Albion’s ranks of full internationals.
The attacking midfielder made his senior Argentina debut as he started their 2-0 friendly win against Indonesia in Jakarta.
He looked lively in a much-changed Argentina team but was denied by a goal-line clearance when he had a great chance to score.
Buonanotte, who is with the senior squad for the second time, played until the 74th minute.
His debut caps an eventful season which started playing club football for Rosario Central and, internationally, with Argentina under-20s.
At 18 years, five months and 24 days, he is the youngest player given his debut by current head coach Lionel Scaloni.
Initial reaction to his performance among Argentinean media appeared to be positive.
