Evan Ferguson has revealed the “all about us” focus which has taken Albion into Europe.
The Seagulls striker says head coach Roberto De Zerbi spends as little as time as possible talking about opponents ahead of Premier League games.
He wants his side to focus on what they can do – and the result has been a top-six finish and Europa League qualification.
Ferguson said: “The gaffer doesn’t care who we’re playing, whether it’s Southampton who got relegated or Man City who won the league, we’re going to play the same way.
“He wants us to be brave on the pitch.
“We just focus on ourselves. Every day in meetings it’s just clips of us.
“The day before the game, it’s not heavy, but we’re still working on how we’re going to play depending on how they press.
“We’ll then only do five minutes of how the other team play at the end [of training].
“The gaffer is all about us and tactically who we are.”
Ferguson, who has shone as an attacking focal point, says there is room for the genuine No.9 in the modern game.
He told LiveScore’s UEFA Champions League Fan Event in Dublin: “It obviously depends on the formation and style of play but, when you have a No. 9 up there, you’re always going to have an option.
“If you play with a false nine, teams can change their formation to block it out.”
