Albion would have no need to sell Alexis Mac Allister – as the Argentina star’s future remains unconfirmed.
Mac Allister appeared to be saying a tearful farewell to fans after the Seagulls’ season-ending match at Aston Villa on Sunday.

However, The Argus understands that, as of today, there are no ongoing discussions over either Mac Allister or midfield sidekick Moises Caicedo.
Mac Allister has been linked to Liverpool but suitors for both players will be aware they both signed lengthy contracts in recent months.
At the same time, Albion would not stand in either player’s way if the right move came along at the right price.
Roberto De Zerbi has said more than once that one or both players could go this summer and confirmed he is making plans accordingly.
Mac Allister has headed to Italy to attend the wedding of Argentina colleague Lautaro Martinez.
The anticipated signings of free agents Mahmoud Dahoud and James Milner remain ongoing.
De Zerbi all but confirmed the arrival of Dahoud at a recent press conference.
Albion’s position remains they do not necessarily need to make a big sale to finance summer recruitment.
The club’s key end-of-season board meeting is due in early June.
But De Zerbi will remain in contact with leading figures at the club while he is on holiday in Italy.
