Solly March added to Albion worries with an injury setback.
But Roberto De Zerbi was unable to update on his winger after the 5-1 defeat by Everton.
March, who had looked lively after going on as a half-time substitute, pulled up clutching his hamstring as he chased in vain to prevent the Toffees’ fourth goal.
He collapsed to the turf and was replaced after undergoing treatment.
Head coach De Zerbi had named March on the bench for the last two games due to an unspecifiied issue.
He said: “We are enduring a very tough period about injury.
“I don’t want to speak about this because we are ready and we could win the game today.
“I don’t know. Solly didn’t play in the first XI for a problem.”
