Deniz Undav scored his first Premier League goal in Albion´s 6-0 win over Wolves, writes Carlos Acosta Juckes.
And then he added an exquisite second.
He needed only six minutes to give his side the lead.
A low cross reached Danny Welbeck, who delivered a beautiful backheel assist for Undav who just had to tap it in.
Albion fans roared, but a VAR revision had everyone waiting as anxiety increased in the stands before David Coote allowed the goal.
The forward was more participative than previously, still had punctual errors but made it up with his press.
The goal was a big relief for the player as he had yet to score in the competition – and had a goal disallowed last Wednesday against Nottingham Forest.
During the second half, Brighton kept tormenting the visitors.
Undav scored his second goal in the 61st minute, chipping over Jose Sa and making it 6-0.
The wait was long but the rewards were even better for the forward.
It could be the beginning of a new star.
