Roberto De Zerbi has responded to reports linking Albion with Joao Pedro.
And he did so in initially light-hearted mood as he faced the media today.
Albion are reported to be close to agreeing a deal with Watford for their Brazilian forward.
Asked about that, De Zerbi said with a smile: “I don’t know Joao Pedro.”
He added: “No, Joao Pedro is a big, big player but I don’t know if it is close or not. He is a great player.”
Asked whether he could be a great player for Albion, the head coach answered: “I don’t know. I think we are a very good team, we can improve, but it is not the right moment to speak too much of the transfer market.”
