Albion will take no risks with Evan Ferguson at Nottingham Forest tonight.
But Danny Welbeck is expected to be fit for action after limping out of the FA Cup semi-final.
Head coach Roberto De Zerbi has confirmed Facundo Buonanotte will get his first Prmier Leeague start.
That could come in the No.10 role.
De Zerbi said he still had decisions to make with his XI, including who starts in goal against Steve Cooper's Forest.
It appears Ferguson’s return from injury will come when Wolves visit the Amex on Saturday.
De Zerbi said: “The next game, Ferguson will be ready to play, available.
“(Adam) Lallana is working with the group, at 80% and he will be ready in 15-20 days, maybe less.
“Welbeck is playing well and I have confidence in ourselves.
“I think we can fight and try to achieve our target.”
“We can work about the way to achieve the results; we can change the result.
" This morning I spoke to my players on how we don’t get to pick if we win or lose.”
