Roberto De Zerbi praised the character and passion which earned Albion a point.
But he was convinced they should have had all three against Brentford.
The Seagulls came from behind three times to force a 3-3 draw as Alexis Mac Allister fired home a late penalty.
Head coach De Zerbi said: “I think it is a great point for us because sometimes football can be cruel.
“We showed character, we showed passion. We played a fantastic game.
“There was only one team on the pitch, I think.
“We conceded three goals in an incredible way and we have to improve.
“We want to improve in these situations because if we concede three goals like this we can’t achieve our target.
