It was all about the team as Albion outclassed West Ham.
But there were some notable performances by the individuals involved - and we have opted for high marks across the board.
Jason Steele 8/10
Made important stops at 1-0 but the key reason for his inclusion was underlined with his passing from the back, which was at the origin of moves for the first, second and fourth goals.
Tariq Lamptey N/A
Unfortunate to suffer an early injury, although he tried to continue.
Adam Webster 8/10
Made an important challenge on Ings at 1-0 and helped Albion pass the ball intelligently.
Lewis Dunk 8/10
Has had tougher afternoons defensively but played a part in the passing game and his precision with long balls offers a good variation.
Pervis Estupinan 8/10
Not as eye-catching as he can be but gives Albion a good longer option down the left.
Pascal Gross 8/10
Sometimes you need to watch games back to understand how good he has been in helping knit the team performance together. The move for the penalty was a good example.
Moises Caicedo 9/10
Immense in midfield as he takes passes under pressure and makes room for others. Dominated against the highly-rated Rice.
Alexis Mac Allister 8/10
Emphatically drilled home the first penalty Albion have been awarded under De Zerbi and did so much good work in midfield as West Ham were left chasing shadows.
Solly March 8/10
Was the first to threaten with a shot which Areola saved and the finish was all that was missing from another inventive, purposeful display.
Kaoru Mitoma 9/10
Brilliant first touch helped win a penalty, he stretched to add a goal himself and was a constant threat down the left.
Evan Ferguson 8/10
The big lad up front can also play a bit, as he has to in this team. Was strong, did a good job linking play and might have had a goal.
Subs - Joel Veltman 8/10
Left all alone for his goal from a well-worked set-piece and helped create space in the move for the third goal.
Danny Welbeck N/A
Has looked very sharp on his two recent run outs off the bench and continued his habit of scoring in this fixture (three seasons in a row) with a fine finish.
Facundo Buonanotte N/A
Continues to look at home in this company.
Julio Enciso N/A
Looked better than at Stoke and went agonisingly close to a goal. It will come.
Jeremy Sarmiento N/A
Looks like he was enjoying himself.
