Yasin Ayari has joined his first Albion training session.
The Sweden midfielder was part of Roberto De Zerbi’s group today as they work towards the trip to Crystal Palace.
Albion released a video in which he showed off his paces after a January switch from AIK in Solna.
Ayari has not played league football, or a full 90 minutes, since November 6.
But he featured in two friendlies with Sweden last month.
Head coach De Zerbi was keen to see what he could do.
Asked last Friday about the role Ayari could play soon, he said: “I don't know. I want to see him on the pitch and I will answer you in the future but I think he's a good, young player.”
Alexis Mac Allister could be seen enjoying himself ahead of his return from a one-match ban.
The Argentina international scored his first Premier League goal on a trip to Selhurst Park two years ago.
There was no obvious sign of Evan Ferguson, Adam Lallana or Levi Colwill, who have been out injured of late.
