Roberto De Zerbi believes Albion produced their best display under his guidance as they won at Southampton.
The Seagulls enjoyed a 3-1 success on Boxing Day.
It was a third win in their last four league games and fourth success under De Zerbi in all competitions.
The head coach said: "I’m very happy. For me we played the best game with me as a coach.
"We are improving in many things.
"We watched how we improved in this last part of the season in Dubai and in Brighton on the last week."
De Zerbi used Leandro Trossard as his furthest player forward and said it was no problem to play without a specialist No.9 in the absence of Danny Welbeck.
He added: "It’s a problem to play without quality, not without a striker or a midfielder.
"When we haven’t got quality it’s a problem to play and try to win.
"But if you have these players with this quality, never it will be a problem."
