Alexis Mac Allister produced a moment of magic to put Argentina in charge of today’s World Cup final.
The Albion midfielder provided the assist from which Angel Di Maria put his side into a 2-0 lead over France.
But France came back to draw level in the later stages of the second half.
Mac Allister was involved in the move as he found Messi with a clever short pass.
He kept running and took a through ball in his stride to the right of goal.
He was aware of Di Maria to his left and played a perfect ball into his path for the recalled wideman to guide home the second goal.
Messi had earlier opened the scoring with a penalty.
