Roberto De Zerbi said he has forgotten the win over Chelsea as he prepares his side to face Wolves.

Fans have been enjoying the afterglow of their side’s 4-1 success at the Amex.

But head coach De Zerbi said today: “Sincerely, I have already forgotten the last game because I feel if we want to become a great team we must be focused only on the next game.

“Tomorrow, we play against Wolves – a good team.

“They have very good players. Moutinho, Neves, etc. I think if you want to be a great team you must win another game.

“Football is beautiful because what you did in the last game is not important.

“It’s more important what you do in the next game. I want all players to think the same way.”

Albion went into the Chelsea match fired by their desire to secure De Zerbi with a first win of his tenure.

The head coach suggested he wanted to see that same spark at Wolves as he spoke to reporters this morning.

He said: “For me, the victories are always more dangerous than the wins.

“When I think back to Chelsea, I think we can play better with the ball and without the ball.

“For example,. I didn't like the goal of Chelsea and the beginning of the second half could change the game.

“For the rest, okay, I'm happy - but it’s in the past, the Chelsea game.”
