Roberto De Zerbi said Albion fans were fantastic at home to Chelsea – and their team took them to new heights.
The head coach oversaw his first win with the club as they routed Chelsea 4-1.
De Zerbi told BBC Radio Sussex: “I am really happy for my players, for my club, and Tony (Bloom), Paul (Barber) and David (Weir) for the confidence they have given to me.
“And for our fans, because they were fantastic, amazing.
“I am happy with the result but in Manchester or Nottingham or Brentford I was happy the same without the result.
“But in football the result can change too much in your head, in other heads but not my head.
“I have to be focused only on my work.
“The atmosphere was already fantastic but after 25 minutes of my players, in terms of quality of play, in terms of aggression, changed the game, maybe changed the atmosphere.”
