Albion will turn their attention to players' contracts now that a hectic March is behind them.

Half of the 28-strong first team squad only have deals to the end of the season.

The situation is complicated by the uncertainty over whether the play-off chasing Seagulls will be in League One or the Championship next season but boss Dean Wilkins said: "I am conscious of players' contracts being up.

"We have been so wrapped up in the amount of games we have just come out of but it is probably now time to start thinking and planning. It is something we will start looking into from now onwards."

Kerry Mayo, Guy Butters, Gary Hart and Paul Reid are among the players with contracts which expire in June.

The squad also includes loan signings Therry Racon, Ian Westlake, Matt Richards and David Martot.

Wilkins said: "When you bring in loan players you are thinking initially about the immediate situation but again that is something which needs to be spoken about."

Reid makes his comeback from medial knee ligament damage in the Reserves against Leyton Orient at Worthing on Wednesday evening (7pm).

The versatile Australian has been sidelined since the defeat at Northampton at the end of January.

Westlake also has a run-out after missing last week's match at Nottingham Forest with a calf injury and Saturday's draw at his parent club Leeds under the terms of his loan move.

Meanwhile, Wilkins will not be punished further after he was sent to the stands in the closing stages at Forest in a row over the multi-ball system. An FA spokesman said: "Nothing was reported by the referee or officials so no further action will be taken."
