Crawley 0 Aldershot 1. Crawley's management team were dismissed from the dug-out for the second time in three days after they again clashed with Aldershot assistant-manager Martin Kuhl.

Boss Steve Evans was asked to leave the technical area for the sixth time this season for something he said to the referee nine minutes before halftime during Reds' unlucky defeat against the Blue Square premier leaders yesterday.

Evans joined his No. 2 Paul Raynor in the stand after he had been banished from the touchline for a similar offence 12 minutes earlier.

Their dismissals come less than 48 hours after they were sent from the touchline during Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Burton Albion.

Kuhl was told to leave the dugout at the same time as Evans for comments directed towards Reds' management duo throughout the first half.

He and Evans were also involved in a heated exchange of insults in the dressing room area 30 minutes after the final whistle.

Kuhl was reported to the FA earlier this season for punching Raynor in the face during an FA Cup tie at Aldershot.

Evans is currently waiting for the outcome of an appeal against an FA charge of improper conduct after he was sent to the stand during a league game at Woking in January.

He was fined £500 by the FA for the same offence last year after being sent from the dugout during a game against Altrincham.

Evans could be in more trouble with the authorities if the referee chooses to include the latest dismissal in his report.

Raynor said: "I don't know what we were dismissed for - apparently you can't shout instructions on to the pitch any more.

"But some of the comments directed at our technical area from a member of their management staff and his overall behaviour was an absolute disgrace.

"He (Kuhl) has done the same thing over the last four games we've had with Aldershot, it's a running thing with him and we cannot do anything about it.

"I can't repeat what he said and it is a shame that it has taken the gloss off a very good football match.

"We don't have anything bad to say about (Aldershot manager) Gary Waddock. It is just a shame someone like that (Kuhl) should be involved with a very good team like Aldershot."

The dismissals compounded a frustrating day for Evans and Raynor whose side got the better of the champions- elect but came away with nothing.

Aldershot were not at their best and were fortunate to pick up another win that put them 14 points clear at the top.

They scored an early goal through midfielder Lewis Chalmers and clung on to it for the rest of the game.

There was only seven minutes on the clock when a slack piece of marking by Lee Blackburn allowed Chalmers to get a clean header from a free-kick from Ben Harding and send it into the top corner.

Reds had most of the possession after that and created chances to get back into the game.

Kieran Murphy fired straight at Nikki Bull from close range on the stroke of half-time after the Shots' 'keeper had parried a drive from Thomas Pinault.

Then Jon-Paul Pittman somehow missed a free header from five yards eight minutes after the break.

But in the end Reds were fortunate they did not lose by a bigger margin after Bradley Thomas gave away a penalty for a foul on Rob Elvins.

Keeper Ashley Bayes twirled his arms around manically in an attempt to put off spot-kick taker Scott Davies and it did the trick as he produced a good low save to his left.

Raynor said: "We are extremely disappointed because we could have not only got a point out of the game, we could have won it.

"I don't think there would be anyone from Aldershot who could say we didn't deserve to get something.

"We had the chances but again we are talking about not taking them which is very frustrating."
